Our History
NBL was started in 1991 by three colleagues: Aleksandr Valerevich Narseev (then at the TsNIGRI institute), Yuri Safovich Brundukov, and Mikhail Ivanovich Leskov (both engineers at Ginalmazzoloto) - and the name 'NBL' was from the initials of their respective surnames. Their first project work, in 1991, was for Buryatzoloto, in the region to the east of Lake Baikal.
The company which they formed, NBLgold JSC, was formally registered as a joint stock company on 23rd February 1993.
Our company's staff were originally drawn from institutes specializing in this area of business: GINALMAZZOLOTO (Glavalmazzoloto - Komdragmet), VNIPIpromtekhnologii (Minsredmash-MinAtom), TSNIGRI, and VIMS (Mingeo - Ministry of Natural Resources).
More than fifteen years have now passed, and since that time, our company has both enlarged and consolidated. Furthermore, having acquired new partners, the breadth and depth of our business has grown nearly as fast as the number of our clients.
To provide more in-depth and well-established contacts with our clients, we have set up branch offices in several different regions of Russia. The current structure of NBLgold includes four branches: Urals (Ekaterinburg), Siberian (Krasnoyarsk), Far Eastern (Blagoveshchensk) and North-Eastern (Magadan).
