Our strategy
NBL's development strategy can be described simply as the creation of a 'solar system' with a single centre (currently Moscow) surrounded by relatively independent regional subsidiary offices with their own qualified staff, their own networks of associates and their own circles of clients. This structure nevertheless allows the sharing and exchange of capabilities, especially where projects require particular skills or experience.
The company's aim is to become the dominant supplier in a range of types of work. Already this is the case for projects for banks (Russian and international), approval of large-scale projects with the Russian Federal government (GKZ, the State Duma, etc.), and work for rapid start-ups of medium to large operations.
One of the main tasks for NBL today is to develop a qualitatively new set of capabilities, to undertake independently projects in 'western format' such as scoping studies, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, resource/reserve audits, etc. The qualifications and professional accreditation of NBL staff allow the production of JORC resource/reserve reports and participation in international technical projects in collaboration with western consultancy groups.
Further development in this direction will see the company opening offices to support its work in the developing world, initially in Asia and Africa, and later in Latin America, all regions where the company already has experience.
