NBLgold is a specialist consulting and engineering design firm of international standard - the only one of its kind in Russia: nobody else has close to the same length and breadth of experience. There are those who have operated for longer (such as Irgiredmet, founded 130 years ago - but that is essentially just a laboratory, or Sibgiprozoloto, operating for 50 years - but that is just a design institute).  There were many firms founded at around the same time as NBL - but no others have survived and expanded.
