The qualifications of NBL engineers allow work to be carried out within both Russian and international systems.

Engineering design services offered by NBL include:

• Declaration of Intent to develop a mine
• Justification of investment according to Russian standards, similar work for other FSU countries, and also the preparation of Pre-Feasibility Studies in internationally accepted formats
• Supporting materials for construction site selection
• TEO (design) for construction or modification and also participation in preparation of full Feasibility Studies in accordance with JORC and NI 43-101
• Preparation of working documentation for construction or modification and completion of basic and detailed engineering
• Construction documentation in accordance with ESKD requirements for non-standard equipment and structures
• Architectural supervision of construction/modification for mining and metallurgical production
• Cost control during construction

NBL carries out such works in its own name as principal designer and also in collaboration with Russian or international partners.

Unlike the majority of engineering companies of Russia and other FSU countries, NBL employees have experience of direct participation in international projects in partnership with foreign engineering companies, such as Aker Solutions, Wardrop, Hatch, AMC Consultants, MICON and others.

Unlike the majority of its western counterparts, NBL has extensive experience of successful completion of projects according to the design documentation requirements of Russia and other FSU countries, and transfer of international documentation to meet local requirements at different project stages.

NBL staff have first-hand experience of management of the design and construction of mining operations, and also experience of cost minimisation, and the company is in a position to offer such services to owners of, and investors in mining projects.
