Financial Consulting
NBL carries out complex assessments of the condition of various prospecting and mining projects. The results of this work are recommendations on potential merger and acquisition transactions, the share purchase price in these transactions, and also the recommended threshold price for acquisition of a project (a deposit or an enterprise owning several deposits) during acquisition (either by auction or otherwise).
We have information from a large number of mining projects on the exploration and extraction of many different minerals, at various scales, locations, and development stages. Together with our own experience, this provides background information to allow us to consider the influence of many diverse factors in any particular new project.
The extensive contacts of NBL and close collaboration with many organisations and departments allow rapid and objective cost estimations and project assessments.
NBL information on the ownership of a large number of mining projects, in combination with extensive contacts in financial circles, also allows effective development of sale or acquisition strategies.
NBL experience in this field shows that by carrying out such assessments, additional potential of projects is often revealed, frequently unrecognised by former proprietors. This allows clients to gain additional benefit from our work.
Banks and investment companies in Russia, other FSU countries, and elsewhere, are frequent clients for detailed evaluations of mining projects. Within the last 5-7 years large Russian and foreign mining companies have also been increasingly commissioning such work.
We are aware of many cases when our evaluation was used as the basis for merger and acquisition transactions, and also as a basis for definition of bid prices for participants in auctions and tenders, for prices of share placings and IPOs at Russian and foreign stock exchanges.
For the purpose of producing a development strategy or for construction of plans for development of mineral exploration and extraction projects, NBL experts can provide an initial assessment of the expected outcomes, and can give recommendations about further development of such projects.
Where there is insufficient data to produce a mine development and financing strategy, we make recommendations on what is needed and practical within given time and the client's budget. Another version of such work is the development of concepts and strategy for setting up and developing share or project portfolios, identifying relative priorities of projects, and achieving maximum synergy from parallel development.
We are experienced in the definition of minerals project development concepts and strategies for many clients in Russia. We also make recommendations to Russian or international clients on the implementation of mining project development strategies in conjunction with merger/acquisition transactions.
We offer consultancy services to a wide range of clients on the viability of investments in exploration and mining projects. Such projects include precious, base and ferrous metals, various other mineral raw materials, and also we can assist at all stages in the process - from business plans to completion of project financing.
